Job Description

LABORER – ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
BAYVIEW OVERVIEW:
Bayview Builders is a premium custom home building and remodeling firm specializing in Architect
designed high performance waterfront construction. For the last 20 years, we have held a passion for
turning the vision of Architects and designers – and the dreams of homeowners – into a reality. We strive
to understand the vision behind the plans in order to faithfully execute their intent. We understand our
job is not just to build, but to provide guidance and help find solutions.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Laborer is a full-time field-based role responsible for supporting field staff including apprentice
carpenters, carpenters, lead carpenters & Construction Managers. This role requires the desire to learn
modern custom residential construction means & methods. Successful employees will gain tremendous
knowledge of the construction industry while supporting the field staff. This role reports to the Director
of Construction and is supervised daily by the onsite Construction Manager or Lead Carpenter.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Support Bayview’s mission and values
 Report to job sites as relayed by Bayview labor schedule
 Accurately track time using Exaktime mobile application
 Follow direction of supervisor and other senior field staff
 Maintain safe work practices and follow the guidance of safety consultants (OSHA 10 hour training)
 Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and removing hazards
 Install protections for finished surfaces or dust containment
 Install and disassemble temporary structures such as scaffolding, trash chutes, and material racks
 Perform earth moving tasks such as removing dirt, installing fill or compacting
 Load and unload materials and tools
 Perform site cleanup both interior and exterior
 Perform minor demolition tasks
 Ready to learn from the on the job training when necessary
 Generally assist field craftsmen
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Preferred 1 year of experience working in high-end custom residential
 Valid driver’s license
 Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
 Ability to work in all weather conditions
 Must be punctual & reliable
