The Maryland Center for Construction Education & Innovation Welcomes Seven New Board Members

Industry-Led, Workforce Intermediary, Appoints Six Construction Executives and One Education
Leader to Board of Directors

Hunt Valley, MD – December 2013 — The Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation (MCCEI), an industry-led workforce intermediary created to align the needs of the construction industry with Maryland’s education system, announced today the appointment of seven new members to the board of directors.

Jerry Bowman

Is executive vice president of Morgan-Keller Construction located in Frederick, Maryland, brings over 35 years of construction and development experience to MCCEI. MorganKeller Construction is a privately owned general contracting, construction management and
design build firm is operating in its 58th year of business.

Scott Bulera

Is general manager of Turner Construction Company’s Maryland operations, adds over 20 years of construction experience to MCCEI. Turner Construction Company is a full-service construction management firm and general contractor that operates internationally, completing over 1,200 projects a year.

Paul Choquette III

Is senior vice president of Gilbane Building Company’s mid-Atlantic operation, has been involved with construction industry for 15 years. The Gilbane Building Company has been working in Maryland for 40 years and offers a full range of construction management and facilities services.

Gregg Kaderabek

Is vice president and partner of Freestate Electrical Companies located in Laurel, Maryland, has over 35 years of experience in the electrical industry. Freestate Electrical Company is a comprehensive electrical contractor that has serviced the Greater Maryland area since its inception in 1984.

Stephen Kimball

Is senior vice president of Kimball Construction Company located in Rosedale, Maryland, has been in the construction industry for 40 years. Kimball Construction Company is a privately held prime general contractor and subcontractor that has served the industrial, commercial, institutional, and government sector for over forty years.

Dr. Bernard Sadusky

Is executive director of the Maryland Association of Community Colleges, (MACC) located in Annapolis, Maryland, has been involved with Maryland’s education system for over 44 years. MACC is the voice and advocate for Maryland’s 16 community colleges.

Michael Schlegel

Is president of Bozzuto Construction, brings decades of construction experience to MCCEI. Throughout his career, he has managed the construction of more than 10,000 housing units with an aggregate value of more than 1 billion dollars. Based out of Greenbelt, MD, Bozzuto Construction is a full-service general contractor that specializes in multifamily and mixed-use projects.
